Color Guard
Color Guard is a performance group collaboration between Columbus East High School and Columbus North High School that accompanies the Sound and Spirit Marching Band. During the competitive band season, the color guard is the “visual music”. Color Guard uses flags, rifles, sabers, and dance to interpret the music and drill formations on the football field during competitions and half time at football games.

Winter Guard is a combined activity between Columbus East High School and Columbus North High School. It takes all the skills learned during marching band season and takes it to the next level. Winter Guard is for the color guard only and does not involve the band, which makes it twice as fun for the guard members to shine in their own spotlight. Winter Guard is performed indoors to recorded music.
